Meeting #92 - 20 November 2008

Previously, on Westcountry Anime...
With no featured series for a short while we have more room for randomness, so this week standby for a continuation of two previously aired shows, namely GaoGaiGar and Aria; a wonderful mix of hot-blooded mecha action, and nice boats.
Also, just because Higurashi has finished for a short break doesn’t mean you can put away the body-count meter. This week we will also dive into the first 2 episodes of Elfen Lied; a 'bloody' brilliant little show.
See you there
Nyoro~n! =^-^=

We're continuing with our showing some of the new season's shows this week, as we introduce you to Kannagi
Main event is of course Higurashi, as we have another 3-episode session to draw the first season to a close. Answers may or may not be provided
So we hope as usual to see everyone at the usual place and the usual time...

After last night it has come to our attention that the following piece of information needs to be said again:
DO NOT BRING FOOD OR DRINK INTO THE CROWN!
This isn’t something we have come up with; it is what the Crown has asked, and considering they loan us the use of the room FOR FREE I think it only reasonable that we abide by their rules here. After all, now the kitchen is open again and the £1 Menu (shown below) is there, there’s no reason to bring food in anymore.
We ask that those of you who wish to eat something not supplied by the Crown, to eat it off the premises (that is, do not enter the pub and go to the beer garden. You eat it all before entering the pub at all) and then dispose of the containers yourself, rather than leaving it for the rest of us to do for you ¬_¬.
Thank you

90 WA meetings so far...
..that means there's only 10 more till we hit the magical 100.
But before that, we invite you to join us in watching Code Geass:
Set in a future where Holy Empire of Britannia has and conquered Japan with their new robotic weapons, the Knightmare Frames. A young man Lelouch vowes to destroy Britannia. Seven years later, he accidentally becomes mixed up with "terrorists" and encounters a mysterious girl named C.C., who gives him the power of Geass. With it, he finally has the power that he needs to defeat Britannia
Plus there will be more spine tingling scares and uncomfortable truths in the the next 2 episodes of our featured series Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.
Meeting #89 - 30 October 2008

It probably hasn't escaped anyone's notice that there's a massive lead in the last poll; therefore we will be watching Busou Renkin tomorrow. I certainly don't have this one, could anyone who does please post in this thread so we know we have our show? Otherwise you face the dreaded backup plan
Higurashi rolls on of course, as we have the conclusion to Meakashi-hen; find out what was actually going on back at Meeting #83!
I believe this is the closest meeting to Halloween, so BOO! Wahahahahahaha, feel the terror... So yes, doubtless some people may wish to do Hallloween-ish related things, and doubtless you will find company doing similar at WA...
